Helvi FOX 189 is ideal for maintenance and light installations or for domestic use. The welding generator is robust , compact and with a weight of 10 kg it is easily transportable and easy to handle . Control panel with simple operation, allows intuitive and rapid synergistic regulation.

MMA support devices

The Helvi FOX 189 welder is equipped with three devices that support the operator during the most complicated phases of MMA welding:

• Arc Force : increase in arc voltage to avoid switching off when the operator moves the electrode away from the base material or with particular electrodes
• Hot Start : momentary peak in voltage during the initiation of the welding arc to simplify the ignition phase
• Anti-Stick : automatic protection system that prevents the electrode from sticking by suspending the supply of welding current

DINSE connections

The welder is equipped with two 25 mm square DINSE connections to allow the connection of the mass clamp and the MMA electrode holder. It is also capable of welding rutile and basic electrodes from Ø 1.6 to 3.25 mm for iron, stainless steel, cast iron.

Types of welding possible with Helvi FOX 189

• MMA : MMA welding, coated electrode welding, is certainly the most widespread welding method within non-professional environments or in processes that do not require particular quality and production performance. MMA welders are easier to use even if this welding gives less precise results from an aesthetic point of view due to the waste produced by the absence of protective gas.
• MIG: In MIG welding the electrode is made up of a metal wire which is also used as filler material and the unwinding of the spool occurs semi-automatically, unlike TIG welding.
