Helvi FOX 185 - Multiprocess Inverter Welder
Helvi FOX 185 is a top-of-the-line multi-process inverter welding machine from the professional quality FOX range , which guarantees a high power factor accompanied by considerable energy savings . Thanks to the PFC system it automatically compensates for imbalances in the electricity grid . Helvi FOX 185 is also characterized by lightness and versatility (only 12 kg).
Technical specifications
Helvi FOX 185 is a multi-process direct current welder capable of welding with MIG continuous wire, MMA and TIG coated electrode processes.
First choice materials
The welder has a coil compartment , a torch compartment and a patented cable holder . The materials used are first choice , the cables for example are made of neoprene , a material resistant to cuts, crushing, atmospheric aging and heat and, furthermore, is inert towards many chemical agents, oils and solvents.
Two digital displays
The new synergistic mode is simple to understand and thanks to the pre-set reference scales it allows you to adjust the thickness of the material to be welded, making the machine setting fast and intuitive . Helvi FOX 185 FLEX LINE is also equipped with two digital displays that facilitate welding settings and parameter reading.
PFC technology
Thanks to PFC technology it can be fully exploited even with the 3 kW of the domestic network and can be used with a motor generator with a power of no less than 6.4 kW . The connection of the MIG/MAG torch is of the EURO type and on the DINSE connections located on the front, you can connect the mass clamp and the electrode holder clamp, or a TIG torch, with valve for controlling the Argon gas . This direct current TIG process allows the welding of iron and stainless steel .
Coil adjustments
In the coil compartment of the Helvi FOX 185 welding machine there are two adjustments :
- Ascent ramp : wire delivery in an increasing manner, until the set speed is reached, useful during the initial welding phase
- Burn Back Time : adjustment of the length of the wire remaining outside the torch at the end of welding, advantageous during the tack welding phases
Automatic systems
The FOX 185 welder has been equipped with automatic Hot Start, Arc Force and Anti-stick systems that help the operator during MMA coated electrode welding. This welder is suitable for using electrodes with a diameter between 1.6 and 3.25 mm . Inside the coil compartment there is a connector for changing the polarity so as to be able to switch from welding with GAS to welding with NO GAS cored wire. The wire welding adjustment can also be set in manual mode .
Types of welding possible with Helvi FOX 185 FLEX LINE
- MIG: in MIG welding the electrode is made up of a metal wire which is also used as filler material and the unwinding of the spool occurs semi-automatically.
- MAG: also semi-automatic, the gas used is carbon dioxide and is mainly used for welding common steels.
MIG welding guarantees a higher level of precision, more refined results and is preferred for large thicknesses while MAG is cheaper and allows you to also weld copper, aluminum and magnesium. - MMA: also called coated electrode welding, is certainly the most widespread welding method within non-professional environments or in processes that do not require particular quality and production performance. This type of welding machine is simpler to use even if it gives less precise results from an aesthetic point of view compared to other types of welding.
- TIG : Wire welding is very productive as, thanks to the length of the wire, it does not require constant interruptions for replacement and therefore allows you to work with more continuity. MIG, MAG wire welding machines are types of electric arc welding in a gaseous atmosphere while TIG welding uses rods as filler material (held in the operator's hand) and uses argon or helium.
