Sparco ARCTIC - Water Resistant S3 WR SRC Safety Shoes
Sparco Arctic Water Resistant Safety Shoes designed for use in very damp or wet conditions. Thanks to the special Water Resistant DRS (Dry Respiration System) membrane, in fine water-repellent suede with micro-injected inserts, this Sparco Arctic S3 SR SRC shoe has demonstrated in laboratory tests that it can withstand 1000 steps (about 20 minutes of walking) in a tub with 3 cm of water obtaining a maximum wetted internal surface of less than 3 cm².
Sparco Arctic is a shoe designed for all those who work in environments with the presence of water, guaranteeing breathability and perfect hygrothermal comfort .
These shoes have S3 WR SRC Protection , which combines 200 Joule toe protection with waterproofing of the shoe and an anti-puncture blade in zero-perforation textile fiber. The SRC protection ensures slip resistance both in conditions of ceramic floor with water and detergent and with steel floor and glycerin. The word WR indicates a shoe that is resistant to water absorption and penetration as a whole.
The insole is antistatic in PU while the sole is in Bi-density Polyurethane with Energy Absorption from the Heel .
The Sparco Safety Shoes model Arctic S3 WR SRC are ideal for outdoor use in 4 seasons thanks to the DRS membrane which looks like an invisible sock that keeps the foot dry and thermally stable in both hot and cold conditions, guaranteeing ideal hygrothermal climate.

Sparco shoes use Teamwork® technology which optimizes the walking effort produced by the sole of the foot, where the greatest stresses are concentrated, returning 70% of the energy produced . Thanks to this technology, Sparco Teamwork safety shoes reduce the tiredness perceived at the end of the day, thus improving reflexes and attention to the dangers associated with slipping and stumbling. Furthermore, they allow for less walking effort and less stress on the back and spine together with relaxation of the muscles .
DRS by Sparco TeamWork membrane
The DRS Sparco membrane ensures maximum breathability and comfort while preventing water from entering the upper, thus leaving the foot dry and protected. This membrane is made up of a special material with microscopic porosity that works like a sock capable of keeping the foot both dry and thermally stable in both cold and hot conditions, thus guaranteeing an ideal hygrothermal climate.

All safety shoes for professional use in accordance with EN ISO 20345:2011 are identified by the following wordings:
- S : Safety Shoes (from the English word Safety)
- B : when followed by the letter S indicates Basic protection. These Mandatory Basic Requirements include the minimum indications to be respected regarding:
- the height of the "split" leather upper which can also be opened in the heel area
- the minimum length and bearing base of the tip
- esimilar microfiber
- front lining
- insole
- sole that can be in any type of material.
- P: Protective shoes with protective toe cap (from the English word Protection) safe against impacts with 100 J energy and 10 kN compression
As far as foot protection is concerned, footwear classified as "S" is in turn divided into:
- SB : it is the basic level of protection that is less protective than the other levels and is equipped with a 200 Joule steel toe cap for finger protection, meeting the main safety requirements of the EN 345 standard.
- S1 : S1 level shoes, in addition to the steel toe, also have an antistatic sole with energy absorption in the heel area. The shoes falling into this category are suitable for workers who are not particularly at risk and who do not foresee risks for the sole of the foot as this area does not have an anti-puncture plate. If you want to buy a shoe of this level but with an anti-puncture midsole, then you can choose the S1P version.
