The dry ice pelletizer converts liquid CO₂ (LCO₂) into solid pellets used for cryogenic cleaning and cooling . The process begins when liquid CO₂ , coming from the tank at a pressure of approximately 13–23 bar, enters the machine. Here it undergoes rapid expansion, causing a strong cooling and the formation of dry ice snow at −78.5 °C. This fine snow is then conveyed into the compression chamber , where a hydraulic system compacts it and pushes it through an extrusion plate with calibrated holes (e.g. 3 mm). During this phase, the material is densified and transformed into uniform cylindrical pellets. The result is high-density, ready-to-use dry ice pellets that are easy to dose.
