LiDAR 3D Technology and LidarAI Detection System

The Sunseeker X4 robotic lawnmower is equipped with the innovative 3D LidarAI™ system, an advanced environmental perception technology that combines 360° LiDAR and Vision AI to analyze the garden with millimeter precision. The LiDAR sensor rotates at 6000 rpm, covering a 360° field of view horizontally and 70° vertically, with a resolution of 172 lines. This system generates up to 210,000 detection points per second, creating an extremely detailed point cloud that allows the robot to reconstruct a three-dimensional map of the surrounding environment. Thanks to the fusion of data from sensors and artificial vision, the robot can operate both day and night, maintaining high accuracy even in variable lighting conditions.

Automatic Lawn Mapping without Wires

One of the most innovative features of the Sunseeker X4 is the complete absence of boundary wires and RTK antennas. The Drop & Go system allows you to place the robot on the lawn and start the configuration in about a minute. Through L-SLAM and AI mapping technology, the robot automatically creates a detailed 3D map of the garden, defining virtual boundaries and intelligently organizing mowing areas. This system also allows for unlimited multi-zone management, enabling a single robot to work on different garden areas with optimized paths.

Intelligent Mowing Path Planning

The Sunseeker X4 robotic lawnmower uses intelligent path planning algorithms to optimize mowing efficiency. Once the lawn map is generated, the robot automatically calculates the most effective path to cover the entire area up to 1200 sqm, reducing overlaps and unnecessary passes. The system thus ensures a uniform and precise cut of every lawn area. The floating cutting disc with 6 blades rotating at 2500 rpm offers a cutting width of 20 cm and a manually adjustable height between 20 and 60 mm, adapting to different types of grass.

Advanced Movement System with Obstacle Avoidance

The robot integrates an omnidirectional 3D obstacle avoidance system, designed to recognize and navigate around objects in the garden. The system distinguishes different types of obstacles: static obstacles like chairs or garden furniture, floating obstacles like balls or trampolines, dynamic obstacles like pets or people. Thanks to the combination of LiDAR, Vision AI, and a bumper sensor, the Sunseeker robot can react in real-time, improving safety and operational efficiency. The detection system is perfectly effective even at night.

Performance on Complex Terrains

The Sunseeker X4 is designed to handle gardens with slopes up to 45% (24°) thanks to its rear-wheel drive and rear wheel suspension, which improve stability and mobility on uneven terrain. The maximum cutting speed is 0.45 m/s, while the noise level is kept low at around 60 dB(A), making the robot suitable for use in residential areas.

Advanced Connectivity and Smart Functions

The Sunseerker robot is equipped with an integrated 4G anti-theft module and GPS, which allows for position tracking and ensures greater security. The system includes two years of free anti-theft service. WiFi, Bluetooth, and 4G connectivity allow for app management and integration with voice assistants like Alexa and Google Home.
