3D LiDAR Technology and LidarAI Detection System

The Sunseeker X4 robot lawnmower is equipped with the innovative 3D LidarAI™ system , an advanced environmental perception technology that combines 360° LiDAR and Vision AI to analyze the garden with millimeter precision. The LiDAR sensor rotates at 6000 rpm, covering a 360° horizontal and 70° vertical field of view, with a resolution of 172 lines. This system generates up to 210,000 detection points per second , creating an extremely detailed point cloud that allows the robot to reconstruct a three-dimensional map of the surrounding environment. Thanks to the fusion of data between sensors and artificial vision, the robot is able to operate both day and night, maintaining high precision even in variable lighting conditions.

Automatic Lawn Mapping without Cables

One of the most innovative features of the Sunseeker X4 is the total absence of perimeter cables and RTK antennas . The Drop & Go system allows you to position the robot on the lawn and start configuration in about a minute. Through L-SLAM and AI mapping technology, the robot automatically creates a detailed 3D map of the garden, defining virtual boundaries and intelligently organizing cutting areas. This system also allows for unlimited multi-zone management, allowing a single robot to work on different areas of the garden with optimized paths.

Intelligent Cutting Path Planning

The Sunseeker X4 robotic lawnmower uses intelligent path planning algorithms to optimize cutting efficiency. Once a lawn map is generated, the robot automatically calculates the most efficient route to cover the entire area of up to 1200 m², reducing overlaps and unnecessary passes. The system thus ensures a uniform and precise cut of every area of the lawn. The floating cutting disc with 6 blades rotating at 2500 rpm offers a cutting width of 20 cm and a manually adjustable height between 20 and 60 mm, adapting to different types of grass.

Obstacle Avoidance Advancement System

The robot integrates a 3D omnidirectional obstacle avoidance system , designed to recognize and avoid objects in the garden. The system distinguishes between different types of obstacles: static obstacles such as chairs or garden furniture, floating obstacles such as balls or trampolines, and dynamic obstacles such as pets or people. Thanks to the combination of LiDAR , Vision AI , and a bumper sensor , the Sunseeker robot can react in real time, improving safety and operational efficiency. The detection system is perfectly effective even at night.

Performance on complex terrain

The Sunseeker X4 is designed to tackle gardens with slopes of up to 45% (24°) thanks to its rear-wheel drive and rear wheel suspension, which improve stability and mobility on uneven terrain . The maximum cutting speed is 0.45 m/s , while the noise level is kept at around 60 dB(A), making the robot also suitable for use in residential contexts.

The Sunseerker robot is equipped with a 4G anti-theft module and built-in GPS , which allows for location tracking and ensures greater security.
