Karcher HD 10/16-4 Cage Ex is an explosion-proof high-pressure washer designed for professional cleaning in ATEX zones and industrial environments with an explosion hazard. It delivers a working pressure of 160 bar and a water flow rate of 1000 L/h, providing adequate performance for intensive cleaning tasks in the offshore sector, chemical industry, and other high-risk industrial settings.
Equipped with a robust powder-coated stainless steel tubular frame, rubber wheels, and a 5.5 kW three-phase electric motor. The authorization for thermal class T3 allows its use in potentially explosive atmospheres with an ignition temperature up to 200 °C.
Karcher HD 10/16-4 Cage Ex uses a 4-pole, air-cooled three-phase electric motor with 400 V Three-Phase Power Supply - 50 Hz. The connected power is 5.5 kW, and the drive is coupled to a Kärcher high-pressure crankshaft pump. The brass pump head and ceramic pistons are designed to ensure robustness and continuous operation in professional use.
The machine achieves a flow rate of 1,000 l/h, with a nominal working pressure of 160 bar and a maximum pressure of 220 bar. The maximum inlet water temperature is 50 °C. The system is also equipped with a water filter to protect internal components and a detergent suction system for tackling even the most stubborn dirt.
The configuration of the ATEX pressure washer is designed for environments where a standard pressure washer cannot be used for safety reasons. The HD 10/16-4 Cage Ex is therefore suitable for professional cleaning activities in industrial areas characterized by the possible presence of explosive atmospheres, with particularly relevant applications in the offshore and chemical industries.

The robust powder-coated stainless steel tubular frame protects the machine during professional use and facilitates handling thanks to the rubber wheels. The frame also features a hook for lifting and crane attachment, a particularly useful solution for interventions in offshore contexts or industrial areas where equipment handling requires dedicated lifting systems.
The pump unit is designed to offer high performance and professional reliability. The brass pump head, ceramic pistons, and Kärcher crankshaft high-pressure pump contribute to the system's durability in prolonged cleaning operations. The water filter protects internal components by trapping impurities in the water supply and can be quickly removed for cleaning. The pump is designed not to run dry, contributing to the system's operational safety.
The detergent suction system also allows the use of specific cleaning agents when high-pressure water alone is insufficient, proving useful in removing stubborn dirt and residues in professional applications.
