Munters CELdek Pads for Cooling Systems

The CELdek pad is certainly the most efficient in terms of cooling, made of specially designed and chemically treated cellulose paper to resist deterioration while meeting the Greenguard environmental certification standards, improving air quality for both humans and animals.

The uneven pad design with cross-grooves promotes beneficial mixing of air and water for optimal cooling. This unique design also serves to continuously direct more water into the air entering the pad surface, where the hottest, driest, dirtiest and most intense evaporation occurs.

CELdek cooling panels are designed to be used in environments that require a high degree of cooling efficiency and are particularly suitable for livestock farms and stables. The panels are made of cellulose supports characterized by folds at different inclinations to ensure high evaporation efficiency and at the same time an extremely low pressure drop.

They can be cut like normal boards according to the size and shape you need.

The difference between the CELdek 7090-15 and the CELdek 7060-15 lies in the different inclination of the folds of the cellulose sheets. The CELdek 7090-15 has a first sheet with a fold inclined at 60° and a second with an inclination of 30°. Depending on the angle, the time the air remains inside the cooling panel varies and consequently also the level of humidity absorption varies. It should therefore be taken into account that the steeper the angle, the higher the pressure loss will be, which must be compensated for with the presence of a fan.

The water distribution panel is positioned above the cooling panel and ensures an even distribution of water across the panel, thus minimising the risk of dry spots. The water is then recirculated through a pumping station which returns it to the top of the cooling panel. Some of the water evaporates as the hot, dry air passes through the panel, which is then cooled and humidified . The remainder of the water helps to wash the panel itself, then returns to the pumping station via a drainage system .
