Duplex Srl, a company that has been producing professional floor cleaning machines for over 20 years, has created the simplest and cheapest solution capable of solving the problem of removing stubborn dirt, such as that present in the traces of the metal carpets of escalators and moving walkways.

Duplex Escalator Cleaner BASE, equipped with special equipment, special differentiated brushes and a PATENTED SELF-GUIDE system, allows the cleaning and washing of any moving escalator or moving walkway easily and in a short time.

The system of cantilevered brushes that reach the end of the steps with the particular bi-directionality of the same machine, allow total cleaning up to the corners.

The brushes are shaped with equidistant bristling to reach the bottom of the traces of the walking surface of the steps and are designed to correspond to the different steps of the traces or channels, which vary from manufacturer to manufacturer of the system.

The Duplex Escalator Cleaner BASE, combined with an additional Dry mode suction unit, sweeps the steps vigorously in a very short time. Surface dirt and dust are completely collected.

Subsequently, by activating the distribution system of the Wet mode detergent solution, the remaining dirt and encrustations in the channels are eliminated.

With the simple procedure of use the dirt is completely removed and the steps regain their original brilliance.

These particular machines are built only for this specific use and are equipped with:

• Special pressed spindles that support each element of the machine designed to contain the special brushes.
• Mechanical power transmissions with gears rotating on sealed ball bearings.
• Tropicalized watertight single-phase induction motor resistant to condensation of vapors produced by the special solvent used for washing
• Supplied brushes with differentiated equidistant bristling for plants (Schindler). (Optional brushes on request for other types of systems).
• Patented self-guide support with stabilizing wheels
• Tanks for containing the solvent solution for washing equipped with stainless steel splash guards.
• Conveyors and seals in synthetic rubber resistant to the chemical action of the solvent.
• Handle with double ergonomic support
• Recovery tank cover equipped with a nozzle for connecting it to a normal external vacuum cleaner (not supplied)
• Trolley for transporting the machine
• Sampling of the special solvent (1 pack of 5 liters), formulated for the specific use and compatible with the metals of the escalators or moving walkways and of the machine itself.
