Deca SM 608 Electronic Battery Charger Description

The Deca SM 608 battery charger is an automatic battery charger with a maintenance charging program (pulse charging). It is particularly suitable for keeping scooter, motorcycle, or car batteries always ready for use.

Which Batteries Does It Recharge

Suitable for charging Lead/Acid and Ca/Ca batteries:

• WET : lead batteries where the positive and negative plates are immersed in an aqueous solution of sulfuric acid. They are either sealed or equipped with maintenance caps. This is the most common type of battery in the automotive sector. They can be low-maintenance or maintenance-free (MF)

• AGM : sealed lead batteries with electrolyte immobilized in an absorbent material. In gas recombination batteries (AGM - Absorbed Glass Mat), the plate, the electrolyte solution, and the separators made of polymer and silicon fibers are wound in a spiral; they are continuous band Lead-Tin batteries. AGM batteries are maintenance-free and have high starting power, designed for use in extreme and demanding situations. They withstand intense charge and discharge cycles.

• GEL : these are Lead-Calcium batteries in which the positive and negative plates are immersed in a gelatinous solution. They are hermetically sealed and require no maintenance. They are very robust and therefore particularly suitable for use in motorcycles, off-road vehicles, construction machinery, and boats.

• Calcium/Calcium: in these batteries, the positive and negative plates have been replaced by a calcium alloy. Thanks to this technology, they offer very limited liquid loss and natural discharge; they are therefore ideal for storing units.
