Munters EM is the most popular and reliable extractor fan in the Munters range, designed to offer high air flow even under high static pressure conditions. Ideal for intensive livestock farming and greenhouses , it guarantees energy efficiency , silence and long life thanks to its corrosion-resistant structure in Munters Protect treated steel. Available in AC versions (1.0 / 1.5 HP / 2.0 HP) and E-line with EC motor (2.5 HP), it has been synonymous with performance, reliability and innovation for over 40 years.

This air extractor is equipped with a shutter and double protective mesh to ensure maximum safety during operation and prevent the entry of foreign bodies.

Technical Specifications

The EM fan features a 50" or 52" six-blade propeller designed to maximize airflow, even in environments with high static pressure. The belt drive allows for low-speed operation , reducing energy consumption and noise. The fan body, damper, and air delivery system are constructed of galvanized steel with Munters Protect coating , which is extremely corrosion-resistant.

The EC motor guarantees energy savings of up to 50% compared to the AC version and allows variable speed control . All models are IP55 (AC) or IP66 (EC) certified, operate up to 50°C and maintain constant performance even in difficult environmental conditions. The noise level remains between 67.6 and 70.4 dB(A) , contributing to a quieter and healthier working environment for operators and animals.

Thanks to the propeller shape and Munters design, the EM air extractor generates a very high air flow even under high static pressure conditions. This makes it particularly effective in tunnel ventilation systems , high-density greenhouses , and poultry or pig farms .

EC motor with maximum efficiency

The E-line version of the EM50 is equipped with a 2.5 HP brushless EC motor , which allows for continuous electronic speed regulation and significant energy savings. Ideal for facilities requiring continuous ventilation and energy efficiency.

Automatic hermetically sealed shutters

Munters' patented centrifugal system ensures the shutters open immediately when the motor is started and close perfectly when it is turned off. Powerful springs keep the shutters hermetically closed , preventing air leaks and the infiltration of light or dust.

Munters Protect Anti-Corrosion Fans

In agricultural environments, high humidity, acidic pH, and aggressive chemicals accelerate metal corrosion. To meet these challenges, Munters developed Munters Protect , an innovative coating for fan blades that is more corrosion resistant than AISI 430 stainless steel and pre-painted metal. The result of advanced manufacturing processes, it offers greater durability , reliability , and performance in the most demanding conditions. The following images show a comparison after 700 hours of salt spray exposure : the SS 430 stainless steel blades (left) show obvious signs of wear, while the Munters Protect blades (right) maintain a healthy, durable appearance .

On request, the EM50 models with 1 HP and 1.5 HP AC motors are available in the Power Munters Protect version, in stainless steel with a paint finish that is 10 times more resistant than normal materials.
