Pneumatech PMNG1 - Membrane Nitrogen Generator
Pneumatech PMNG1 is a nitrogen generator with membrane technology. Pneumatech PMNG1 is a nitrogen generator designed for applications with a high purity degree of 99.5% - medium purity ( 95% ) - low (90%) which, thanks to its conformation as a membrane nitrogen generator, finds various applications in the industrial sector. and agro-food .
Pneumatech PMNG1 has a pressure between 4-13 bar , without the need for an additional booster. To obtain output nitrogen , a compressor with dryer must be connected to the Pneumatech PMNG1.
Easy to install thanks to its small footprint , you don't need the support of specialized technicians to start PMNG1.
Functional specifications
Separatic membranes with superior technology
Pneumatech PMNG1 features high quality , superior technology separating membranes made of aluminum and hollow fibers . Pneumatech PMNG1 therefore offers the best technologies available on the market, for operation without moving parts. The nitrogen separation provided by this professional machinery is between 90-99.5% .
Filters integrated into the nitrogen generator
Pneumatech PMNG1 houses all filters inside the closed casing . Inlet and 3-stage filtration is integrated into the machine body. There are pneumatic control valves and a bacteria gas analyzer .
Guaranteed purity
The purity control system present on Pneumatech PMNG1, allows to obtain optimal results for each use.
Saving of compressed air
Thanks to the pneumatic economizer , Pneumatech PMNG1 stops the air consumption as soon as the pressure required for nitrogen production is reached .

How a nitrogen generator with membrane technology works
As an alternative to the installation of a cryogenic system, it is possible to generate nitrogen by means of a special PSA or membrane generator. In particular, the membrane technology consists of a main module with a diameter of 10 cm and hollow polymer fibers . Clean, dry compressed air is introduced here by means of a permeation process , whereby water, oxygen and part of the argon escape through the side of the fibers facing the membrane. Nitrogen therefore remains isolated, due to its slower permeation , with respect to oxygen and carbon dioxide. To avoid overpressure , there is a vent where faster exhaust gases can escape, leaving pure nitrogen.
In the more powerful nitrogen generators such as the Pneumatech PMNG1 , the filters and the dryer are already installed inside.
Use of nitrogen generator
Being an inert gas (not very reactive), nitrogen has various types of uses in the agro-food sector. Nitrogen is in fact used as a shielding gas in inerting processes. Here are some examples of use.
Preservation of food products
In the food sector, the introduction of gaseous nitrogen serves to preserve food products from contact with oxygen and humidity contained in the air . The packaging of food using the MAP ( Modified Atmosphere Packacking) process involves the packaging of food in an atmosphere protected by nitrogen, thus avoiding contact with oxygen and extending the shelf life of the food.
Nitrogen for the wine sector: wine bottling and tank cleaning
This inert gas prevents oxidation of wine and preserves its taste , color and properties . Normally, nitrogen finds its application in the cleaning of tanks and in the bottling of wine .
Agricultural sector use
Nitrogen fertilization of cultures promotes plant growth . This gas is in fact an important nutrient, transformed by plants into proteins .
Use of nitrogen in the industrial sector
Nitrogen is used in various industrial sectors to prevent fires and explosions . It is piped into tanks , pipes , reactors or mines to reduce the natural oxygen content of the air. In fact, oxygen reacting with different types of gas and dust can cause combustion.
Nitrogen for brazing and laser cutting
Nitrogen is used in various procedures such as brazing , arc welding and laser cutting as cutting gas, combustible gas, shielding gas and inert gas . Eliminates residual oxygen thus avoiding oxidation of components.
