Telwin Maxima 270 is an inverter welding machine from the Elements Line , MIG-MAG/BRAZING/MMA/TIG DC-LIFT wire with the use of the appropriate optional kits. Microprocessor controlled. With a power of 250A, it ensures optimal performance in areas such as, for example, carpentry work and maintenance work.

This welder is suitable for any level of experience, guaranteeing excellent results even for less experienced operators thanks to the simplicity and immediacy of its parameter adjustment.

Telwin Maxima 270 is equipped with four wheels for movement , the two rear ones are larger, and a convenient handle for transport. Thanks to its compact and lightweight size and the gas cylinder housing, it can be transported to internal and external intervention sites, with a 230V single-phase current connection .

This welding machine allows a wide variety of fields of application for working on Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium with wires of diameter up to 1.2 mm.

Technical specifications

This Inverter Welder has a single-phase current connection of 230 V, frequency 50 / 60 Hz and current regulation range between 20 and 250 A. The maximum no-load voltage is 60 V, with maximum absorbed current of 39 A. The maximum absorbed power is 6.3 kW, with power factor cosphi 0.7 and efficiency at 87%.

The TIG welding mode possible with Telwin Maxima 270 is DC (direct current) with LIFT ignition . This type of ignition concerns the ignition mode of the electric arc of TIG welding and is obtained thanks to a device that prevents damage to the tip of the tungsten electrode through the use of low-value current. The arc is ignited thanks to a spark formed following the removal of the electrode from the piece.

Welding diameters

As for the electrodes that can be used in DC, the welding diameter is between 1.6 - 4 mm.
Below are the different wire welding diameters:

Steel: 0.6 - 1.2 mm
Stainless steel: 0.8 - 1 mm
Aluminum: 0.8 - 1mm
Animated: 0.8 - 1.2 mm
Brazing: 0.8 - 1 mm

Types of welding with Telwin Maxima 270

• MMA : also called coated electrode welding, it is certainly the most widespread welding method in non-professional environments or in processes that do not require particular qualitative and productive performance. This type of welding machines are simpler to use even if they give less precise results from an aesthetic point of view compared to other types of welding.
• TIG : requires low voltage and therefore absorbs little, becoming cheaper and aesthetically the most beautiful of all welding techniques. TIG welding has a so-called coin shape due to the circular shapes it produces and is more resistant, therefore it is usually used in visible elements and on processes that require precision.
• MIG : in MIG welding the electrode is made of a metal wire which is also used as a filler material and the unwinding of the spool occurs semi-automatically.
• MAG : also semi-automatic, the gas used is carbon dioxide and it is mainly used to weld common steels. MIG welding guarantees a higher level of precision, more refined results and is preferred for large thicknesses while MAG is more economical and also allows you to weld copper, aluminum and magnesium.
• BRAZING : this is an assembly operation that is obtained by melting a filler metal (for example silver or tin-based alloys) without melting the base metal. Brazing therefore allows the edges of the joint to be kept intact.
