Fral FD360TCR FD520TCR - Dehumidifier with External Condenser
The Fral FD360TCR and Fral FD520TCR dehumidifiers belong to the industrial dehumidifiers with external condenser that allow dehumidification combined with cooling, performing simultaneous control of humidity and temperature. The Fral FD360TCR and Fral FD520TCR dehumidifier is suitable for use in environments where it is necessary to control humidity and temperature.
These Fral dehumidifiers are equipped with a mechanical dehumidifier on board the machine, with a digital thermostat for temperature control.
The Fral FD TCR series dehumidifiers are equipped with a hot gas defrosting system (optional) , with electronic and thermostatic control. They can work up to temperatures close to 0 °C.
How a dehumidifier works
A dehumidifier is a machine that sucks in air and filters it. The air passes through a radiator filled with refrigerant gas . The low temperature condenses the humidity present, collecting the waste liquid in a tank. The Fral dehumidifier recirculates the filtered and humidity-free air through the action of a fan .
Functional specifications
Sturdy structure in galvanized sheet metal
The supporting structure of Fral FD360TCR and Fral FD520TCR It is made up of panels in sturdy hot-dip galvanized sheet metal , painted with epoxy powders . These guarantee high resistance to atmospheric agents and aggressive environments . The panels of this Fral industrial dehumidifier are removable , which allows for quick inspection and maintenance of the internal elements.
Scroll compressor and fixed exhaust
The compressor inside Fral FD360TCR and Fral FD520TCR is of the scroll type, mounted on anti-vibration mounts and equipped with an electric resistance on the casing. The tank is made of anti-corrosion stainless steel; the dehumidifier must be connected to a fixed drain, avoiding the formation of double siphons, using a pipe with a 3/4''F connection to the tank.

External unit
The remote condenser of this Fral dehumidifier is made with Ø 3/8” copper pipes and 0.1 mm thick aluminium fins. The pipes are mechanically rolled into the aluminium fins to increase the heat exchange factor. The geometry of these exchangers allows for a low air side pressure drop value and therefore the possibility of using low-rev fans (with consequent reduction in machine noise). The fan section is made up of helical fans directly coupled to the electric motor with internal thermal protection and equipped with an accident prevention mesh. The motors all have an IP 54 protection rating.
3 speed centrifugal fan
The fan mounted on Fral FD360TCR and Fral FD520TCR is a three-speed centrifugal type with double suction . Made from sturdy galvanized sheet metal blades , the Fral dehumidifier fan is statically and dynamically balanced .
Hot gas defrosting
It allows the use of the dehumidifier in environments with temperatures up to 3°C , it is a special hot gas injection system to speed up the defrosting of ice formed in the evaporator.
Dehumidifier air delivery
The standard delivery of this Fral dehumidifier is placed on the side opposite the intake , but it is possible to request the professional dehumidifier in the Top version - with delivery on the upper side of the machine.
High efficiency washable air filter
Made of polyurethane , the air filter of Fral FD360TCR and Fral FD520TCR is washable and easily replaceable. High efficiency filter .
Microprocessor
Controls the defrost cycles , the compressor timer and the alarm board. The FD240 model, being three-phase , is equipped with phase sequence control. The microprocessor of this dehumidifier is equipped with a 0-10 V output for modulating control (optional) or ON/OFF as standard for external unit control.
Easily visible control panel
Located on the side of the machine. Complies with European regulations.
