The Fral FD240TCR is an industrial dehumidifier with an external condenser that allows dehumidification combined with cooling, simultaneously controlling humidity and temperature. The Fral FD240TCR dehumidifier is suitable for use in environments requiring controlled humidity and temperature.

The Fral FD TCR series dehumidifiers are equipped with a hot gas defrosting system (optional) , with electronic and thermostatic control. They can operate at temperatures down to 0°C.
How a dehumidifier works
A dehumidifier is a machine that draws in air and filters it. The air passes through a radiator filled with refrigerant gas . The low temperature condenses the humidity , collecting the waste liquid in a tank. The Fral FD240TCR recirculates the filtered and humidity-free air through the action of a fan .
Functional specifications
Robust structure in galvanized sheet metal
The load-bearing structure of the Fral FD240TCR is composed of panels in sturdy hot-dip galvanized sheet metal , painted with epoxy powders . These guarantee high resistance to atmospheric agents and aggressive environments . The panels of this Fral industrial dehumidifier are removable , which allows for quick inspection and maintenance of the internal elements.
Scroll compressor
The compressor inside the Fral FD240TCR is of the scroll type, mounted on anti-vibration mounts and equipped with an electric resistance on the crankcase.

External unit
The remote condenser of this Fral dehumidifier is made of 3/8" copper tubes and 0.1 mm thick aluminum fins. The tubes are mechanically expanded into the aluminum fins to increase the heat exchange factor. The geometry of these exchangers allows for low air-side pressure drops and therefore the possibility of using low-speed fans (resulting in reduced machine noise). The fan section is composed of axial fans directly coupled to the electric motor with internal thermal protection and equipped with a safety mesh. The motors all have an IP 54 protection rating.
3-speed centrifugal fan
The fan mounted on the Fral FD240TCR is a three-speed centrifugal type with double suction . Made from sturdy galvanized sheet metal blades, the Fral dehumidifier fan is statically and dynamically balanced.
Hot gas defrosting
It allows the dehumidifier to be used in environments with temperatures up to 3°C , it is a special hot gas injection system to speed up the defrosting of ice formed in the evaporator.
Fral FD240TCR dehumidifier air delivery
The standard delivery of this Fral dehumidifier is placed on the side opposite the intake , but it is possible to request the professional dehumidifier in the Top version - with delivery on the upper side of the machine.
High efficiency washable air filter
Made of polyurethane , the Fral FD240 air filter is washable and easily replaceable. High efficiency filter .
Microprocessor
Controls the defrost cycles , compressor timer, and alarm board. The FD240 model, being three-phase , is equipped with phase sequence control. The microprocessor of this dehumidifier is equipped with a 0-10 V output for modulating control (optional) or ON/OFF as standard for external unit control.
Easily visible control panel
Located on the side of the machine. Complies with European regulations.
