Fral FD160 belongs to the industrial dehumidifiers of the FD series by Fral, industrial dehumidifiers designed for humidity control in professional and commercial settings .
Particularly robust and resistant Fral FD160 can be easily installed and easy to maintain . Fral FD160 can be used to control humidity in environments for the conservation of agri-food products or in industrial processes where humidity regulation is necessary.
These professional dehumidifiers have a washable dust filter , connected to a fixed drain . They are equipped with a mechanical dehumidifier on board the machine. It is possible to connect a remote digital dehumidifier .
The FD series fixed dehumidifiers are equipped as standard with a hot gas defrosting system (optional for this Fral dehumidifier) with electronic and thermostatic control and can work at temperatures close to 0°C .
How a dehumidifier works
A dehumidifier is a machine that sucks in air and filters it. The air passes through a radiator filled with refrigerant gas . The low temperature condenses the humidity present, collecting the waste liquid in a tank. Fral FD160 recirculates the filtered and humidity-free air through the action of a fan .
Functional specifications
Sturdy structure in galvanized sheet metal
The load-bearing structure of Fral FD160 is composed of panels in sturdy hot-dip galvanized sheet metal , painted with epoxy powders . These guarantee high resistance to atmospheric agents and aggressive environments . The panels of this Fral industrial dehumidifier are removable , which allows for quick inspection and maintenance of the internal elements.
Scroll compressor
The compressor inside Fral FD160 is of the rotary type, mounted on anti-vibration mounts and equipped with an electrical resistance on the crankcase.
Refrigeration circuit
The evaporator and condenser coils are made of copper tubes and aluminum fins .
Filter dryer , Shrader valves , minimum and maximum pressure switch. There is also a defrost thermostat .
Condensation collection tray in anti-corrosion plastic
The tank is made of anti-corrosion plastic , the dehumidifier must be connected to a fixed drain, avoiding the formation of double siphons , using a pipe with a 3⁄4” F connection to the tank.
3 speed centrifugal fan
The fan mounted on the Fral FD160 is a three-speed centrifugal type with double suction . Made from sturdy galvanized sheet metal blades , the Fral dehumidifier fan is statically and dynamically balanced .
IP21 protection
The standard protection class of this dehumidifier is IP21.
Hot gas defrosting
It allows the use of the dehumidifier in environments with temperatures up to 0.5°C , it is a special hot gas injection system to speed up the defrosting of ice formed in the evaporator.
Fral dehumidifier air delivery
The standard delivery of this Fral dehumidifier is placed on the side opposite the intake , but it is possible to request the professional dehumidifier in the Top version - with delivery on the upper side of the machine.
Washable air filter
Made of polyurethane , the Fral FD160 air filter is washable and easily replaceable. High efficiency filter .
Microprocessor
The Fral FD160 microprocessor controls the defrost cycles , the compressor timer and the alarm board.
Easily visible control panel
Located on the side of the machine. Complies with European regulations.
Technical specifications
The Fral dehumidifier we are describing has a single-phase voltage of 230V , with maximum absorbed power of 2.5 kW and maximum absorbed current of 11.5 A. Silent dehumidifier for regulating and controlling humidity in the home and professional environments, the starting current LRA is 39 A , with a sound pressure level of 52 dB .
