This Helvi welding machine is a multifunctional direct current machine capable of carrying out MIG continuous wire , MMA coated electrode and TIG welding.

PUMA 298 Heavy Duty

With a power output of 5.8 to 6 kW at 60% , this Helvi welder can handle heavy workloads continuously without overheating or losing performance. The adjustable output voltage from 30 to 290 A in MIG , from 20 to 250 A in MMA and from 10 to 290 A in TIG allows the PUMA 298 to weld a wide range of material thicknesses with precision. The 40° duty cycle offers reliable and long-lasting performance, even in the most demanding situations.

Types of welding possible with Helvi PUMA 298

• MIG : in MIG welding the electrode is made of a metal wire which is also used as a filler material and the unwinding of the spool occurs semi-automatically.
• MMA : also known as coated electrode welding, it is certainly the most common welding method in non-professional environments or in processes that do not require particular quality and productivity performance. This type of welding machine is easier to use, although it produces less precise results from an aesthetic standpoint than other welding methods.
• TIG : Wire welding is highly productive because, thanks to the wire's length, it doesn't require constant interruptions for wire replacement, allowing for more continuous work. MIG and MAG wire welders are types of electric arc welding in a gaseous atmosphere, while TIG welding uses rods as filler material (held by the operator) and uses argon or helium.
