MUNTERS POWER PROTECT
Munters EC52 cone extractors are ideal for large airflow under high static pressure conditions. The uniquely designed fan is self-cleaning and achieves maximum efficiency, while the exhaust cone ensures exceptional airflow.
The Munters EC 52 air extractor is available in classic variants with belt drive, and with inverter with direct drive on the propeller. The latter solution is called "Munters Drive".
Munters Drive technology with permanent magnet inverter motor with direct transmission on the blades allows considerable energy savings as well as the regulation of the rotation speed of the blades, depending on the required temperature and the external temperature.
Patented permanent magnet motor for an excellent reduction in energy consumption compared to traditional AC motors.
In addition, the Munters Drive system motor overheats up to 50% less than traditional AC motors.
The 3-blade fan is statically and dynamically balanced to minimize vibrations and noise. Munters EC52 industrial cone air extractors are equipped with a fan made of "Munters Protect". For improved aerodynamic efficiency, Munters EC52 extractors have been developed by Munters Italy's research and development laboratory where the laboratory's test chamber was built in accordance with ANSI / AMCA 210-85 standards. The construction details and the tightness of the chamber have been verified by the staff of the BESS Lab of the faculty of agricultural engineering of the University of Illinois - USA.
Damper operated by gearmotor with opening not linked to the air flow or to the rotation speed of the fan, in Munters EC52 cone extractors it ensures greater resistance than plastic and aluminum. When the fan is not running, the damper is absolutely hermetic in order to prevent any air drafts. The shutter does not require periodic cleaning as the dust does not affect its opening and closing movement.
In agriculture, corrosion is usually caused by a combination of many factors such as pH, high humidity levels, frequent contact with water, harsh manure chemicals or disinfectants, etc. The industry is also constantly evolving and this could have surprising side effects: new agricultural chemicals or feed additives could do wonders for plant health, but they would also increase metal corrosion from fans.
New more corrosion-resistant fans, Munters has developed a new material for the blades of its fans: POWER MUNTERS PROTECT (PMP). This material is more performing than AISI 430 stainless steel and pre-painted metal in terms of corrosion and meets the needs of modern installations.

The possible applications of the air extraction fans are truly manifold. They range from the removal of stratified air due to heat, to those for the elimination of odors and volatile substances accumulated inside the systems. Air extractors are also used in farms, greenhouses and in combination with cooling systems to improve the distribution of air flows.
