Munters EM50 Industrial Air Extraction Fan

Munters EM50 industrial air extractors are high flow rate air extraction fans with an exclusive design that is self-cleaning and allows for maximum efficiency. The shell of the Munters EM50 air extractors, the air conveyor and the six-blade fan are made of Munters Power Protect, a Munters patented material that is stronger than stainless steel .

For better aerodynamic efficiency, Munters EM50 extractors have been developed by Munters Italy's research and development laboratory. The laboratory test chamber was constructed in accordance with ANSI / AMCA 210-85 standards. The construction details and the tightness of the chamber of Munters EM50 extractors have been verified by the staff of the BESS Lab of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering of the University of Illinois - USA.

In Munters EM50 industrial air extractors the fan is fixed to a large central pulley integral with a double row ball bearing and with double water jet proof shielding with a new and improved design. The belt drive ensures a reduced fan rotation speed to achieve maximum efficiency and reduce energy consumption as well as noise.

The Damper

In the Munters EM50 extractor, the galvanized steel damper ensures greater resistance than plastic and aluminum. When the fan is not running, the damper is absolutely hermetic in order to prevent any air drafts. The centrifugal opening system (patented) prevents the shutter from accidentally closing during the operation of the fan and ensures maximum efficiency by keeping it always open and stable. Furthermore, the shutter does not require periodic cleaning as the dust does not affect its opening and closing movement.

All plastic parts of Munters EM50 pullers are made of UV resistant black acetal material. The special housing reduces stress on the motor bearings and the new high-efficiency electric motor ensures greater reliability and lower energy consumption. The grille is fixed with special anti-vibration plastic supports.

In agriculture, corrosion is usually caused by a combination of many factors such as pH, high humidity levels, frequent contact with water, harsh manure chemicals or disinfectants, etc. The industry is also constantly evolving and this could have surprising side effects: new agricultural chemicals or feed additives could do wonders for plant health, but they would also increase metal corrosion from fans.

New more corrosion-resistant fans, Munters has developed a new material for the blades of its fans: POWER MUNTERS PROTECT (PMP). This material is more performing than AISI 430 stainless steel and pre-painted metal in terms of corrosion and meets the needs of modern installations.
