Fral FRS300 is an absorption dehumidifier that removes ambient humidity by absorption, even at the lowest temperatures. Fral FRS300 can be used in all environments where it is necessary to keep a low level of humidity.
Structure in galvanized steel
The structure of the Fral FRS300 dehumidifier is made of galvanized steel and AISI_304 steel. The top panel can be removed for maintenance on the electrical components and all other internal mechanical parts. Connections to the Fral dehumidifier can be made with standard spiral ducts.

Dehumidification for two air flows
Fral FRS300 is a dehumidifier that works using two air flows : the main one consists of the air to be dehumidified , a second flow (with a smaller flow rate) is used to regenerate the dehumidification rotor . A fan inside the dehumidifier creates these two streams of air which pass through the rotor in opposite directions .
The air to be dehumidified - also called "process air" - passes through the silica gel impregnated desiccant rotor. Silica gel is a highly hygroscopic material that absorbs water vapor from the air. As it passes through the rotor, the air transfers its moisture content to the rotor itself. The dehumidified air is then sent to the production room or to the process to be dehumidified. The dehumidification process can take place between temperatures between -30°C and +40°C.
Belt drive system
Fral FRS300 is equipped with a transmission system with gear motor and belt . The regeneration air is used by the system to remove absorbed humidity and carry it outside. This is heated up to 100°C and passes through the rotor in the opposite direction, triggering a reverse process . The humidity is released and the initial absorbent capacity is restored. The regeneration air is expelled warm and humid and must be sent outside the treated environment.
Motor coupled fan
The fan is directly coupled to a single-phase motor of class IP55 , ISO F, Class B, and can be accessed for maintenance by removing the top panel.
Rotor with structure
The Fral FRS300 dehumidifier has a rotor made with desiccant material . The rotor has a honeycomb structure made of heat-resistant corrugated sheets containing the silica gel desiccant material, which creates a high number of axial fluid threads and at the same time a large absorption surface in a small volume. The rotor is built to withstand saturated air without being damaged, therefore it can be coupled with a pre-cooling coil.
Self-regulating PTC regeneration battery
The electric regeneration battery is of the self-regulating PTC type, to keep the surface temperature constant.
G2 filter
The dehumidifier has a G2 filter : on the process and reactivation air inlet.
Electric panel
The electrical panel is made in compliance with European standards 73/23 and 89/336. Accessibility to the electrical panel is possible by removing the top panel of the unit. The following components are installed as standard in all units: main switch, ammeter, connector for external humidistat connection. The panel is also equipped with a switch for manual or automatic control of dehumidification management.
